Carries Cards Mylar Greeting Card Kits Christmas

Remember we said we weren't going to have any classes in January?  Well, since several of you emailed us asking to have a class in January (bless your hearts), we decided to have a class.  We truly appreciate ALL OF YOU!!  We were able to schedule the Community Center for the following dates:

Tuesday, January 24

and

Wednesday, January 25

(same class both days, your choice of day)

What: "Machine Embroidery A-Z: Embroidering on Terry Cloth Towels and Sweatshirts"

As well as doing our projects, we will discuss and use different types of stabilizer, discuss placement of monograms on different types of towels and sweatshirts, and teach you how to "be kind to your machine" after using sticky stabilizer.

Time: 10:30 - ? (Until you want to leave or 4:30, whichever comes first.)

Where: Guernsey Community Center (behind and attached to the church)

Fee: $25.00  Includes:

2 custom monogram styles (sizes 2", 3", 4" and 5" for each style are included)

Please email or call me and tell me (1) which 2 styles of monograms you want and (2) the initials you want. The 3-letter monograms have the last name initial in the center, the first name initial on the left and the middle name initial on the right.  The 2-letter monograms have the first name initial on the left and the last name initial on the right.  I used my initials (CLW) for the examples.

The complete alphabets you'll receive are of the styles pictured below.

Please call 319-685-6139 or email softwaregirl@netins.net to sign up, ask questions, and/or to let us know which styles and letters you want for your custom designs.

If you call:  If we miss your call, please leave us a message and we will call you back.

If you email:  If you did not attend classes last time, please let us know what embroidery machine you have so we can have the format for your machine ready for class.

The class will be held in the Community Center in Guernsey.  For those of you who don't know, Guernsey is a very small town and we're very easy to find. We're only 3 miles off of Interstate 80. We will carry your machines, etc., in for you and there is only one small step up into the Center.

Since we don't have any restaurants in town, please bring a sack lunch and a drink.  We will have use of a refrigerator and a microwave. Of course, you can also bring treats. :-)

We are anxious to see all of you.

Thank you!

Bonnie and Carrie

Driving Directions:

Take Interstate 80 to Exit 201

Turn south onto Highway 21

Go almost exactly 3 miles and turn left on County Highway F46/Cleveland Street.  (There is a "Guernsey" sign just before the turn - and I mean JUST before the turn :-).)

Follow the road into Guernsey.  The Church is on the left with the Community Center attached behind it.  You can park in front of the church or on the side of the road along the side of the church.  Trust me...when you get here, you'll see how easy it is to find.

If you see a park on your right, you missed the church by one block. Turn around and come back.  If you end up on a gravel road,  you missed the church by 1 1/2 blocks.  Turn around and come back. :-)

Below are screen shots of Guernsey and how to get to Guernsey from Google Maps. The balloon shows where the church is. The detail map shows the Post Office, but it recently closed. I'm pretty sure you'll still be able to find the church. :-)  I hope after seeing these maps you will see just how easy we'll be to find.
